Ware Forest, Inc.

After serving in the military, N. A. (Nat) Carter began his career in the timber industry in the late 1950's.  Mr. Carter, along with a partner, formed Ware Forest, Inc. in 1967 in Ware County, Georgia.  As a result of his efforts in promoting the timber industry, Nat Carter was recognized by The American Tree Farm System with the Master Tree Farmer Award in 1992.

History

Ware Forest, Inc. has been a family owned company since 1983 when the current President, Thad Carter bought out his father's partner's interest in Ware Forest.  Nat and Thad ran Ware Forest together until Nat retired in 1998.

In 2002 Ware Forest moved it's corporate office from Nicholls, Georgia to its present location in Douglas, Georgia.
